Rum, anyone?
Let’s switch things up this month and taste some rums! I know what you’re thinking… “I don’t like rums.” It’s what most whiskey drinkers assume. It’s what I assumed. But that’s only because the rums I had tried in the past were… well… ones that you shoot and mix with coke. And that’s exactly what I did with them. I didn’t know that good sipping rums existed. Now I love rums! And I think you would love them too! Or at least you would be able to use your whiskey tasting skills to appreciate the craftsmanship in rums.
During the tasting you’ll try three different aged rums. We’ll discuss the different styles of rum, which will include some history, as well as how rum is made. Of course, this tasting will be blind, so you’ll have to decide based solely on your palate which rum was which.
