This is our first official in person event!

Rum, anyone?

Let’s switch things up this month and taste some rums! During the tasting you’ll try three different aged rums. We’ll discuss the different styles of rum, which will include some history, as well as how rum is made. Of course, this tasting will be blind, so you’ll have to decide based solely on your palate which rum was which.

For Black Girls CODE

Just as we did last year, we’ll taste three different American whiskeys specially selected for this tasting to help continue the conversations on whiskey’s black history. All of the proceeds from this tasting will go to Black Girls CODE, an organization dedicated to empowering girls of color ages 7-17 to become innovators in STEM fields, leaders in their communities and builders of their own futures through exposure to computer science and technology.

Single Malt Ladies (Penderyn On It)

Now put your hands up. For Galentine’s Day we’ll be celebrating with three different single malt welsh whiskies produced by Penderyn Distillery. Not only are their whiskies highly awarded, but their distilling team is entirely women run!

Sneaky Peat

Have you met my good friend Peat? Peat is what gives smoky whiskies their smokiness and usually Islay single malt Scotches are known for being smoky. But during this tasting we’ll explore peated whiskies from different parts of the world!

Very Sherry

Aging or finishing Scotch in sherry butts is a pretty common practice and it adds some subtle sweet, spicy and decadent notes to the flavor profile. But different sherries will have different impacts on the whisky and we’ll get to taste that first hand during this tasting. We’ll try a Highland single malt whisky that’s been aged in four different sherry barrels for the same amount of time. This direct comparison will be sherry interesting!

Ryed or Die

Even though bourbon is America’s distinctive spirit, our ryed-or-die whiskey is rye! This spicy spirit was the first whiskey distilled in the US and it’s making a comeback. It’s no longer just a “flavoring grain” in bourbon mash bills. Join this tasting to learn all about rye.

East Asia

For all you Japanese Whisky fans out there, we dedicate this tasting to you. We’ll learn about what makes this unbridled class of whiskies so unique. But will all the whiskies be from Japan? Or perhaps another east Asian country? Join the tasting to find out.

Triple Distilled

During this tasting we’ll dive into how distillation, specifically triple distillation, changes the flavor profile of the whiskey. It’s one reason why Irish Whiskeys are known for their light, honey and vanilla flavor profiles. But will all the whiskeys be Irish? There’s only one way to find out.

Bundle o’ bourbon

This tasting is all about bourbon. You’ll learn why not all bourbons are the same.

Easy peat

We’ll taste three distinctive Islay Scotches that will ease you into peat. You’ll learn how different stages of the whisky making process impact the peaty influence.
